Active Directory usage win Windows XP

I need to be able to reset people's passwords from my desk
preferably without using Remote Access software on the
servers. I have seen Windows XP terminals with Active
Directory install which allows them to view the active
directory of the entire organization how do I get this on
Windows XP?
