This is truly driving me crazy by now!

I've tried the fix below twice now. I am logged on as an
administrator with full control. I click on "Replace
permission entries on all child objects..." and
then "Apply" and as soon as I click "Yes" to the dialog
box (see below) the check disappears from the box! What
could be wrong?

Dialog box: "This will remove explicitly defined
permissions on all child objects and inable propagation of
inheritable permissions to those child objects. Only
inheritable permissions propogated from Protected Storage
System Provider will take effect. Do you wish to
continue?"
