Hello Linda,
Check your Automatic Update settings (Right Click the little Automatic Setup
icon near your clock and select Settings), and make sure it's set to
automatically install. By default, it is not set to automatically install
the updates; it'll auto-download, but ask you if you want to install them.
Also, you can click Details in the notification dialogue box to see exactly
what updates you are installing. But most of the time, you should leave all
the updates checked
