Call me nostalgic, but I liked the way in the Windows 9x
series that you could tell Windows all users of this
computer use the same settings and share all the same
files, therefore disabling all logon scripts and the like.
After leafing through control panel for ages, it seems
this option is lost in Windows XP because it is assumed
every PC has multiple users! I have machines in my
organisation that definitely do not need logons, usernames
and passwords, and the whole shared/single documents thing
has just plain confused most people since the upgrade.

I know we're working with Win2000 technologies now, but
surely there must be a way to make the experience a bit
more Windows 9x like in terms of users?!

Thanks for your help,

L
