Hello,
I develop web sites on a Windows XP Pro machine running IIS5.1 as a
testing server and recently I've been having some permissions issues. I
installed the .NET framework SDK and MDAC for the .NET Starter kits, but I
still develop my sites in ASP/VBScript because that's what im confortable
with. Lately my pages that are supposed to update my access database have
been throwing errors that the db is opened exclusively or i don't have
proper permissions or i have to use an updateable query. I've gone through
all the msdn technotes I could find on this and tried everything but still
get the error. I even made IUSR_<MachineName> an administrator briefly and
still get the error. I'm lost. I did notice in my task manager that user:
IWAM_<machinename> is running "ddlhost.exe" constantly and I'm wondering if
that's supposed to be like that.
Anyone help me get a clue?
Thanks
Kahlil
