Ever since I have had XP, I have not had any need to use
a password. This was nice as it allowed me to switch the
machine on and go do something else while it booted up
and set up the first application.

I had to load a new driver recently, and the instructions
said it *had* to be loaded by the administrator. So I
gave my account a password and the new driver loaded OK.

Now I get the *@#%^ "welcome" screen every time I boot
up. Anyone know I can get back to having an uninterrupted
bootup?

K.
