Passwords won't save

I have a laptop that was recently upgraded from 2000 to
XP, however, my problem started 6 months ago and is still
the same after the upgrade. When I'm logged onto my
laptop as the admin my usernames and passwords in
Outlook, IE, and other applications won't save. Everytime
I open IE or Outlook I have to re-enter the username and
passwords. If I create a new user account it saves the
usernames and passwords but the Admin won't save the
login info. I've checked eveything and can't seem to find
a solution.
