Something easy short of a complete rebuild, no. You can
try to reassociate each file or file type through
Tools...Folder Options in Windows Explorer (not Internet
Explorer).
You can try downloading AD-Aware from Lavasoft. It's
free...www.lavasoft.com. It might help reverse some of
these problems. Some Anti-virus vendors can do this as
well.
Otherwise, there are reasons that restore CDs were made.
Just make sure to BACK UP YOUR DATA *emphasis on back up
your data**.
