Bill,

Setting the timeout value to 0 wouldn't cause any problems in this respect.
You may want to try the following:

Open a Command Prompt window and enter the following commands, one at a
time:

WINMGMT /?
winmgmt /clearadap
winmgmt /kill
winmgmt /unregserver
winmgmt /regserver
winmgmt /resyncperf
