The OP gave no specifics other than "fix the critical updates install
problem"
That description describes just abouteverything that can go wrong with
Windows Update.
The fix you did is specifically mentioned in the link I gave.
With a general description of the problem, there are general options
that include many possible fixes.
With a specific issue mentioned, there may be a specific fix that can
save time.
