Recently my computer crashed on me corrupting the Windows
XP Pro registries. I have talked with Microsoft Technical
Support and they have tried helping me rebuild the
registry files by copying them from the Windows\Repair
directory back to the Windows\System32\Config directory.
This did not work - unable to boot up in Windows. The
problem I am having is that the data on the hard drive is
still there. I have all my personal files stored
under "My Document" under my userid account. The problem
is, when I created this account, I marked all files and
folders as private. Now, when I try to access these files
on the hard drive, I am receiving a message
indicating "Access Denied". How can I get my personal
files from this folder that has been marked as private? I
have tried to reinstall Windows XP Pro over the copy on
this disk but Windows doesn't recognize it as a previous
copy.

Thanks,

Jeffrey Russell
