I am running Win XP Pro on a Dell Dimension 8100 logged
on as the Administrator.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to install Norton
System works. When installing Antivirus, I get a message
saying "Error 1321 The istaller has insufficient
privelages to modify this file. C:\\windows\system32
\drivers\symdir.inf"

I checked the properties on this file, and under
Security, in addition to the SYSTEM user, a mysterious
user is displayed. The name of the unknown user is S-1-5-
21-220523388-1580818891-1343024091-1003 and it has
control of the file. This user does not show up in
Computer Management under Local Users and Groups /
Users.

Could this be a trojan or other type of melicious remote
user preventing the proper installation of Norton
Antifvirus? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
