I have deleted one of them, but not the HelpAssistant. You need the Help
Assistant to be able to invite certain folks (your choice) to help you online.
As for the other, that one allows Microsoft to remotely assist you on your
computer, I have no problems deleting it.

That said, I have not tried this with those specific accounts and for your version of XP do not know for a fact that deleting them is allowed. I have them disabled and am fully comfortable with the fact that they are disabled, with a password I have slapped onto them. If you do delete, then you will not be able to invite anyone, MS or a friend, into your system using Remote Assistance. That account is used for the person you have emailed an invitation to, since an account is always needed but the person is not likely to have an account. Read up on Remote Assistance before you delete the account as it is actually pretty failsafe - and an invite cannot be used if you do not interactively OK its use at the time of its use, etc. -- Roger Abell MS MVP (Security, Windows), MCDBA, MCSE both Associate Expert - Windows XP ExpertZone http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone "Jay" <jay_blev@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:031501c2cf1e$be7bd430$d7f82ecf@TK2MSFTNGXA14... > Does anyone know how to remove the 2 hidden user files > that MS has in XP for remote assistance?
