I'm just shooting in the dark here, but it might be that a certain cookie for
that site where you frequent for your newsgroup was deleted because it may have
been marked as spyware. Cookies retain tracking info of your browsing habits, so
if it gets deleted and prevented from reinstalling on your hard drive, you will
be unable to access that particular site again.
