I had some problems with a virus and I was force to
format my disc loosing all data.
Now everything is working fine I have a good anti-virus.
I'm using windows XP.
To prevent this situation in the future, I have now two
partitions. One with windows and the other with programs
and data. If I ever have a problem I may have to format
windows partition but I will not lose program or data.
The problem is that when I reinstall windows I won't be
able to use any program, without reinstall them, and some
have a limited number of installations.
What I am doing is export and save windows registry and
using Files and Settings Transfer tolls to safe windows
settings. I hope that if need to reinstall windows saved
settings and registry allow me to recover the situation.
Does anyone know if this works? Is there any better way
to do this?
