I assumed these were in an AD domain, so are Pro without
Simplified sharing. Then go into Advanced in Advanced
tab of interface you get by running
control userpasswords2
or just drill into the groups in compmgmt.msc
However, Power Users in XP are comparable to Users in
W2k rather than W2k Power Users.
I also assumed the components are fixed, rather in development,
so assigning them via group policy is what I meant by pushing
them out. If the components are in development, I am all in
favor of developers being admins on their dev boxes, but VS.Net
does have some newer stuff that allows them to debug so perhaps
admin is not needed for the component registration either (but,
that is VS.Net, not sure if it is available in a backport to VS6).
