It is something of a miracle that W2k clients are fine
with a pre-SP5 NT4 domain. Get that up-to-date before
trying to solve other "problems". That means SP 6a
plus SRP1 and about a scad of post rollup security
releases. XP clients in an NT4 domain are a little more
problematic than in a W2k AD environment but generally
well behaved.
