Errors 1406 and 1402 when trying to Install Kodak
EasyShare Software for Digital
Camera CX4200. Could not write
value InstallDir to Key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\...\KODAK_MASTER_INSTALLER. Verify you
have suffient access to that key, or contact support.
Also ERROR 1402 could not open key: same as above.
Wizard was interruped (I tried ignoring message) before
Kodak EasyShare Software could be completely installed.
Install guide says Computers with WINDOWS 2000 or WINDOWS
XP Pro need administrator priveleges, which I have. How
do I get the install to complete.

I have Microsoft WINDOWS XP Home Edition Version 2002.
Thank You.

I am the Administrator. Per support, I deleted my acct
and re-created (in safe mode) - Error 1406 changed to
read
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KODAK\KODAK\SoftwareUpdater\KO
DAK_MASTER_INSTALLER. Error 1402 could not open key.

I tried looking at the Registery, but get Registery
editing has been deleted by your administrator. Please
help - Thank You.
