This problem of granting internet access to a "Guest
Account" has been bugging me for ages and I suspect it's
a bug in the Windows XP operating system! Obviously from
the Help Documentation supplied with Windows XP, anybody
should be able to come along, turn the computer on and log
on to the Guest account, and access the internet. But
they can't!! But you CAN access the internet from the
Guest Account by first logging on to a Limited or Admin
Account, establishing an internet connection, and then
switching to the Guest Account- try it (provided
the "Allow anyone to use this connection" box is ticked
in one of those connection windows that appears from time
to time) . But whilst logged on as a "Guest" you'll
notice that any connections you use for the computer are
missing in the "Internet Options" ,"Connections" window.
Any attempt to "ADD" a connection whilst a Guest results
in an error message "Cannot load the Remote Access
Connection Manager service. Error 5:Access is denied" and
if you try and create a new connection by using "setup"
it irritates you even more by saying "You are currently
logged on as a limited user - Please log in as an
Administrator". I'm sure it's got something to do with
that pesky "Remote Access Connection Manager" not
starting up from the Guest Account. How does the
Administrator get the RACM to run in Guest Account mode ?
I'm currently looking at the "Services Manager" program
for clues and any help would be greatly appreciated.

>I believe this is an error in the documentation. I'm
not set up for dial up at this point, so can't verify it,
but several posts regarding this issue came up months
ago. I recall the consensus was the documentation was
wrong.
