Is the Administrator account available to you? Can you see it? And you're
sure you know the password for the account? XP can remove the ability to
use the Administrator account as described below:

I don't know whether or not running SQL server as Administrator is the best
idea. www.sqlsecurity.com might have something to say about that. But you
could always try creating a new account and using that.

Additionally, some services such as IIS may have problems if you're trying
to use a password with special characters higher than ALT-0254.
