I cannot see deleted files in the Recycle Bin, why?

When I delete files it goes in to my Recycle Bin. That is
what is supposed to happen and it is obvious that it does
that because the Recycle Bin icon on my desktop changes
to a full Recycle Bin icon and secondly when I open the
Recycle Bin I can select the options to Undo Delete of
the file/Restore deleted files or to Empty the Recycle
Bin. The problem is this, for some reason I cannot see
any of the files that I have deleted (into the Recycle
Bin) when I open the Recycle Bin folder, it is empty
(visually) even though I known that I have files deleted
and that they (the files) are supposed to be in there (I
know this is true because of the reasons I mentioned in
the intro). To make some clarifications one I do not have
the option to "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin.
Remove files immediately when deleted" enabled, two I
know that I have enough space reserved for the Recycle
bin (10% of the hard drive/3.72GB) and three I am not
deleting hidden files. Does anyone know why this is
happening and how I can fix the problem? Thanks. Aaron
