You, unfortunately, may be screwed, to put it politely. Since XP's REGEDIT doesn't have a "real mode" function, its damned near impossible to edit anything outside of Windows. There are 3rd party utilities that claim to allow you to do this from outside of Windows, but I haven't tried them.

The best I can tell you is to try System Restore, and go back to an earlier point. Last ditch effort here. Locate REGEDIT.EXE in the Windows folder. Copy it to another folder and rename it. I can't vouch this will work, but its worth a shot. If this doesn't work, post back and I may be able to provide you with a small VB Script or app that will make the changes for you.
