Oh dear, I don't think you needed to do that. Not everything that Norton
detects is a virus. This particular object is nothing you should restore
your system over. In fact, you should ALWAYS use your antivirus program to
help you with viruses. Avoid any manual processes or other things, at least
not until you've researched what the virus does in the virus database at
www.sarc.com and how to recover from it and/or gotten support for your
antivirus program for free in the discussion groups at www.sarc.com
Also, there are a lot of items that Norton won't be able to repair or
delete, such as viruses in your email, or files that were already deleted by
Internet Explorer.
Using XP restore points might be helpful in some cases, but I would be
careful before using it or any other method instead of antivirus. Better
thing to do is to get your antivirus working, and get help from www.sarc.com
to figure out why [or if] it isn't working.
