Hi,

It seems that Fast User Switching has been turned off on your computer.
Let's follow the steps below to turn on this feature:

Click Start->Control Panel->User Accounts.
Click Change the way users log on or off.
Click to select the box Use Fast User Switching.
Click Apply Options.

NOTE: If the box Use the Welcome Screen has been unchecked, the box Use
Fast User Switching will be disabled. We may turn on Use the Welcome Screen
and then turn on Use Fast User Switching.

After that, please check if this issue still occurs. If you have any
concerns, please feel free to post back.

| i'm a window xp home edition user
| today, i made a new account for my family member..
| so when i logged off to log in with the new account
| the logging in screen (the screen that comes up when you
| first start the computer) was gone!!
| and this little window showed up and it says..

| "The computer is in use and has been locked. Only valued
| user or an admistrator can unlock this computer"

| i can log in with other accounst..
| but when i try to log in.. it says

| "by logging in with different account, it will
| automatically log off any other accounts"

| so basically i can only log in into 1 account at a time..
| the logging in screen is gone...
| it says my computer is in use and has been locked??
| what should i do??
