It used to be so easy. Just input the command line of the
program you wanted to run into the task scheduler and you
were on your way. XP is giving me fits. Specifically in
the area of passwords. I found, that to get anything to
run from the task scheduler, that i had to have a
password enabled (for the associated user account) and
then have a password the the scheduled task that matches
the user account that is signed onto the computer.
Not a huge problem but a real pain. I downloaded TweakUI
which takes care of the original password request when
firing up the system. But each time a reboot is required
or users are switched then you once again have to input
the password manually.
Another major problem i have is that two of my machines
are exclusively used by my kids. I do NOT want them to
have to worry about passwords to log on, but i apparently
NEED passwords to get the task scheduler to work....
AAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!
HELP!... is there a way to place programs into the task
scheduler without Passwords and then get the darn things
to run???
Someone please help
thanks
glen
