You are unable to ping your XP workstation, probably
because you have your XP firewall enabled.
Either adjuct the ICMP settings on the XP firewall to
allow you to ping it, or disable the firewall. You can
find these settings by navigating to network connections
and right clicking your network connection...click
properties, then select the ADVANCED tab. Good Luck
