I had a similar setup but only 1 XP Home and 1 XP Pro. I
up graded Home to Pro and found I could no longer access
Program Files, Windows or Docs & Setting (Admin account)
even though I am the administrator. I found out that if
you have NTFS file system, certain file will not access
over a network, such as said folders. I converted 1
machine back to XP Home Fat32 (reinstall), and was able
to access all folders on the Fat32 machine. If all your
machines are NTFS, the built in security measures in NTFS
are doing what they are supposed to do as far as security
and the network are concerned. I don't know why if your
are the administrator, why can't these security measures
be overridden. I even tried to take ownership of the
folders with no success

HTH,
Charlie
