Error with NTL-broadband software (in UK):

"You must have administrator privileges to run this
application. Please log off and log back in under an
account with Administrator privileges and run this
application again.

Error Code :20 "

Laptop with Spanish XP home and SP1.
Things I have tried:
* create accounts with administrator privileges
* boot in safe mode and log in with "administrador" account
* create accounts in safe mode with adm. priv
* create an account named "administrator" (in english)

New ideas?
