Hi Jim,
I suggest you follow the steps below.
1. Go to Internet Options, on the General Tab: delete Cookies, delete Temporary
Internet Files (including offline content).
2. Go to the Content Tab, click the AutoComplete button.
3. Click on Clear Forms, uncheck the Forms checkbox and click OK, then click
Apply.
(if the other portions of AutoComplete are not working uncheck them as well)
4. On the Content Tab, click the AuotoComplete button and re-check the Forms (and
others if unchecked) checkbox and click OK then Apply.
5. Restart the Internet Explorer browser.
If the issue still exists, you may reinstall IE6 SP1.

Also, I suggest you check if you installed some anti-virus or firewall programs that
disable the feature.
