Please read completely, and you will notice that
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308402
says:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft
products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem
was first corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 1.
So, the preferred solution is to install SP 1, which also provides
fixes for other (including security) issues only available in SP 1.
If this is not feasible, then call MS. The text about link below or
contact PSS is boilerplate. Every time I have called, there is very
minimal delay until I have an email with access info to the patch.
If you simply say you need a fix as defined in KB 308402 that is
about all there is to the call.
