Under Windows 9x, the Security and Sharing options
included a feature which allowed you to password protect
the file, folder, or disk being shared. In Windows XP
Pro, this feature seems to be absent. Am I just missing
something?
I need to know how to lock a disk for password access
only, as our network is having virus problems and they
keep leaking into our workgroup. I have to keep full
sharing available for certain files (including write
access), so passwording is the only viable solution. Each
computer in our workgroup has individual internet and
network access.
Please help!
