If I encrypt folders, the file name & extensions are visible to anyone with
admin rights! The files are safely encrypted but *not* the file names.
Unless I'm doing something wrong, this seems to be a serious security issue.
I'm encrypting at folder level then allowing child objects to inherit the
attribute.
As an aside, XP shouldn't be able to encrypt anything until a recovery cert
has been generated, erased off the system then imported back & tested -
could be coded as a Wizard. This would cut down on the number of users
permanently loosing encrypted data when they reformat their OS volume.
