Usability of an installed app by all Users is dependent on
the app. First thing to do is to complain to the software
vendor, telling them that they need to provide Windows
Logo certified applications to get your future business.
Then, go to www.sysinternals.com and snag copies of the
free tools filemon and regmon and use these to see where
use of the apps fails. This allows you to see where the
apps are trying to write files or modify registry settings
and failing so that you can then loosen permissions in
those locations. You, the consumer of the softwares,
should not have to do this, so tell the vendor.
