Can no longer log into site

I have an acct at barnesandnable.com where I buy a lot of
books. After downloading one of the security updates for
XP I( can no longer log on. I've worked with the Barnes &
Noble web people for the past 2 weeks & they can't figure
it out, other than it has to be something with my lab top
settings. I can log on from my desk top unit & I can also
log onto other secure sites that I have accts with, but
not this one any more. Any ideas?
