Steve,

I had exactly the same problem when I tried to purchase
two software upgrades online, from 2 different sites. I
am sorry I cannot be of much help to you right now, but I
haven't really had time to dig into it yet.

I took the easy way out and went to a Win98 machine on my
network and completed both transactions without a hitch.

Another wrinkle on this ... When using IE 6 in Win XP Pro
I attempt to connect to my MSN Hotamil account and receive
a message that says .NET cannot function because my
browser is set to not accept cookies. I then set the
browser Privacy policies to accept ALL cookies and same
result.

So, same solution, go to the Win98 machine and read my
Hotmail no problem.

BTW the .NET error page also suggested I contact my
browser manufacturer (apparently it couldn't tell I was
using IE) or, failing that, the provider of the .NET
service I was trying to connect to. Hmmmm ... Microsoft,
are you listening??

I love XP Pro but it does have some issues (including
networking issues I won't go into here).
Please let me know if you find a solution Steve and I'll
do the same for you.

Regards,

Terry
