As long as you run an updated virus scan at least weekly and have it
set to automatically scan E-Mail, you have done all that you can
reasonably be expected to do.
Also You should not open suspicious E-Mail.
That is a new feature Microsoft added.
People that rarely if ever receive attachments are better leaving it
checked for added protection.
They can uncheck it if they are expecting an attachment from a
reliable source.
No one can guarantee you will not get a virus checked or unchecked.
Microsoft just added another tool and gave us a choice on whether to
use it.
