Hello-
At my school I have recently upgraded my Win2000 server
to SP3 and all of my clients to WinXP SP1. Since the SP3
upgrade we are experiencing the file access problems in
Office XP, PageMaker 7, and Crystal Reports 7. A
student/teacher/network administrator will attempt to
open a file on the server and get a "file is in use -
access denied" error. The only work around I have found
is to have the user log off and then have the user log
back on. Sometimes a reboot is required. I have seen
several posting about this issue with SP3 on the
newsgroups. Does anybody have any more details or work
arounds?

Thanks,
