Win XP and Win2K cant be networked together I think one of
the reasons might be that the win2k is the more powerfuler
os but the xp is newer so when the systems have an
election for browse master a meriad of problems arise and
for the most part security goes out the window no pun
intended ha ha I have 8 computers networked together a mix
of 98se & win2k the pdc is win2k advance server runs
beautifuly & stable a few weeks ago I added 2 XP and they
tried to take over the net work from the PDC??? after
getting rid of the XPs everything is back to normal I
latter read somewhere that xp and win2k cant be networked
together at least not on the same subnet.
good luck
