This happened to me, After I installed SP1, my sound card quit working. I
tried to do a repair re-install and got nothing but "invalid password". Gave
up on the recovery console and went through the "upgrade install". Needless
to say, my password was fine when all was done.
It is *not* all the customers fault. I am a trained professional with an MS
degree in CS. Microsoft simply speaks to their "broadest sterotypical"
customer base, and never mind people who fall outside of the stereotype.
