IF it is Hotmail, then welcome to Hotmail. Not much you can do there.
Best thing to do is create a new email address, preferable with your isp. When you set up the email account, and it prompts you for the email address to display when posting messages, enter a bogus addy - just scramble your regular addy with extra letters mixed in. One of the biggest sources of spam is from folks who post on forums such as these displaying their real email addy.
Also, when you fill out information on websites, do not give your regular email addy. If it is a site that you will need a response from, have a seperate addy just for those - I use my additional hotmail address for ones that I need replies from.
This way my main addy with my isp stays relatively clean in regards to spam, however my hotmail 90% of what I get is filtered to junk or is spam that I have to delete.
