    There's a bit of fine print on the download page that says: "The fix
for this issue was included in Windows XP Service Pack 1, and in Internet
Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1."

    Do you have either WinXP or IE patched to SP1? The full version number
for OE6 would be "6.00.2800.1106 (xpsp1.020626-1920)." I do know that when
I tried to install the patch on my WinXP SP1 (note to self: read fine
print), I received exactly the same unhelpful error message.
