Normally you do not need a boot disk as the Windows XP CDs are
bootable.
If you are getting a message "Insert boot disk", either you have not
loaded Windows, or there is some type of failure between the hard
drive and the controller.
Reseat the IDE cable at both ends, check hard drive jumper.
If you have not loaded Windows, set to BIOS so CDROM is a boot device
before the hard drive.
Reboot to the Windows XP CD, there will be a message "Press any key to
boot to CDROM", press a key and follow the prompts to load Windows XP.
