Create a default profile.
1) Log on with a user name that has administrative rights
2) Install ALL software you want every user on the PC to have
3) Reboot the computer
4) Log on with a different user name that has administrative rights
5) Right-click 'My Computer' - Properties - Advanced - User Profiles Setup
6) Select the name used to install from step 1
7) Click copy
8) The path is "C:\Documents and Settings\Default User"
9) Permitted to use should be "Everyone" or "LocalComputer/Users"
Now when a non-administrative user logs onto the PC they will have there own
copy of there part of the Registry and should solve you problem.
There is much more information on creating a 'Default Profile' on
Microsoft's web site.
In some cases you may also need to add 'Write' permissions to individual
program directories or files for some programs to function; some update
configuration files, etc.
Good luck,
Michael
