Hi Roger,

      Update is as follows, all good news thank to your
advise & that of Robert Gu, basically these are my
results,

On any XP-Pro pc with SP1 I can export an encrypted folder
via the windows back up utility to a CD-R along with the
Key/Cer & all is good, Robert gave me some helpful advise
in regards to the problems i can run into when trying to
decrypt files which had being encrypted on a Pre SP1
machine , basically Garble would be the result & Spot on
thats what happened (I did this on a XP machine which DID
NOT have SP1), in addition, i can also do the same
excercise on a windows2000 client/server scenario & peer
to peer network (SP3 installed at all times) & encryption
& decryption is all good, except when i try to decrypt
files encrypted on a winxp pro SP1 pc in a win2000 SP3
pc , basically result = Garble, so to a point..im happy
with the results, in regards to the garble, that must be
that registry settings Rob was telling me about,
