Access denied

I recently had a boot up problem in win XP and repaired th instilation.
The problem is that all my user accounts is lost along with all my programs,

I can see the old user folders but windows tells me the folders are empty
and when i click on it, i get the error access is denied!

I NEED HELP PLZ!!!!!!!!!

I'm running Win xp Home on
1.9Gig AMD
120Gig HDD
512Mb Ramm

There are a few fixes, but keep in mind Windows is now using a temporary profile every time the machine starts, so if she's reconfigured her email and such, and reboots, that configuration will be lost and she'll be back to square one. ...
