I'm using Win XP Professional (single PC for family use)
and am wondering how I set up family members as anything
with anything other than 'Administrator' or 'Limited User'
user privileges.
In 'MS Windows XP Inside Out' by Bott & Siechert, it
describes the following types of User Groups as being
available in XP Pro: Backup Operators, Help Services,
Network Configuration Operators, Power Users, Remote
Desktop Users and Replicators. Why is it that I can only
access 'Administrator' and 'Limited User'?
Also, I've been using the PC (logging in under my own user-
name and password) with Administrator rights, but have
recently decided against this. However, when I logged-in
recently as Administratoro with the intention of changing
my provileges to 'Power User', not only did I find that
there is no Power User Group on my PC, but that I had to
keep at least one user with 'Administrator' rights - i.e.
other than THE Administrator!
