Alan,
(Thanks for the prompt reply, by the way) It's not
encryption, it's just the 'private' box was checked under
the folder properties dialogue box. Even with an
administrator account, I can't browse the foldes to copy
files to the new HD.

I assume it's because I'm running Home edition, but there
isn't an 'advanced' button on the 'sharing' tab. I looked
around and I don't see any way to bring up permissions,
like you can in Win2k Pro. Any other suggestions.

I'm thinking there has to be some work around to get
control of these files in Home Edition. Any other
suggestions?
