Hello. My system crashed... WINXP pro. In the middle
of a application, system locked up. I hard restarted.
CHKDSK started and found errors. I attempted to 'last
known config' boot. No success. System would hang at
black 'XP' loading screen. Hard restart again. This
time enter Safe mode. Run Norton Utilities to find and
possibly fix any problems. The attached file is a copy
of the results. Apparently 'Security Descriptors Status'
contains an issue. Turns out MFT mirror is corrupt.
Norton can't auto fix it because XP locks access to this
table. (???)

Can someone help me? System is up and running fine
right now, but I'm not sure how long it will last.

How do I repair Master File Table mirror??? I do not
want to have to completely re-install Windows XP.
(although I may have to because I'm about to install a
new CPU.... I remember reading something about XP and
changing CPU's). Anyways...

Thanks in advance for any help.

-John
