Yes this is possible.
Login in as Administrator. Create a Users folder at the
root of D:\ if there is not already one there. Next, go
to the command prompt (DOS window) and type:
xcopy C:\Docume~1\*.* D:\Users\ /E/C/H/K
This will copy all their existing profile infomation to
D: once copied you can delete the user folders from
C:\Documents and Settings. Delete only the user folders,
not Administrator, LocalService, and so on. If you are
not sure, leave the folder.
Right click My Computer and select proporties, click the
Advanced tab and then click Settings in the User Profiles
section. Delete all the user profiles. Again, do not
delete Adminstator or Hogan if they exist. If there are
user profiles you cannot delete, restart and try again.
Run regedit. Goto to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList and change
ProfilesDirectory from '%SystemDrive%\Documents and
Settings' to 'D:\Users'.
Have the user(s) log back in and check to see it the
profile is created in D:\Users.
