My XP Pro installation appears to be trying to log into
the Adminstrator account on startup, but it also appears
to be using the wrong passcode. How can I stop it?

Here's a summary of how it got to this state.

I had just set up some user accounts on new XP
Professional box (resulting in there being the default
Administrator account, a second administrator account, and
a limited account). I then proceeded to install Visual
Studio 6.0 Enterprise. The installer had problems with my
machine name when it was trying to install SQL Server and
I changed it. The installer then went through a bunch of
please shut down and restart your computer stuff. After
one such restart the machine looked like it had gone into
an infinite loop prior to the startup screen.

I managed to get the Welcome screen to come up by hitting
either ctl-s or ctl-alt-s after the bios was loaded, but
the Administrator account was no longer in the Welcome
Screen list (I think that is related to an XP habit of
hiding the Administrator account once another with the
same abilities has been created - based on other posts
I've just read). I switched off the Welcome screen and was
able to log into the Adminstrator account.

BUT, now every time I restart the system, just as the
logon control shows up, a warning box pops up saying that
I've entered an incorrect passcode.

I'm guessing that the interupted installation has some
stuff left over that is trying to auto login so it can
complete the process. If that's the case, or if it isn't,

how can I stop it?

Thanks.
